Volunteers are an important part of the mission of Adventist Medical Center. Our goal is to demonstrate the human expression of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Volunteers frequently make the first impressions as patients and guests enter the center by being available near the front entrance and are the last impression as they transport patients who are going home. The volunteers encourage the patients they transport or escort from one department to another. Medical records, equipment, paperwork, flowers, nourishments and other items are transported throughout the hospital and three office buildings. Departments throughout the center include volunteers as part of their teams, whether restocking vital supplies, entering data in computers, updating and filing records, preparing mailings, working in the, gift shop or encouraging patients and patient families. Volunteers everywhere are treated as important members of the team in demonstrating our mission.
